District 9 Plants a Bur Oak to Commemorate the Celebration of the Queen's Jubilee
This year, the Ontario Horticultural Association awarded each District in Ontario funds to plant a Bur Oak to commemorate the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee. Port Colborne Horticultural Society was selected as the site for the planting. The tree was planted on September 26, 2012 in the Doan's Cemetery in Port Colborne.
